David Lucas "Luke" Glancy, MD
 
David Lucas (Luke) Glancy received his MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital. From 1966 to 1972 he  worked at the National Heart Institute in Bethesda, Maryland -- in cardiac pathology for two years and then as Chief of Cardiovascular Diagnosis Section in the Cardiology Branch for his last four years. In 1972 Dr. Glancy came to LSU Medical School in New Orleans as Chief of Cardiology. In 1974, he became Medical Director of Cardiology at Hotel Dieu Hospital, now the Medical Center of Louisiana in New Orleans (MCLNO), a position he held for 18 years. During this time he served as Clinical Professor of Medicine at LSU. In 1992 he returned as Chief of Cardiology both at LSU and at MCLNO. He currently serves as Professor of Medicine at LSU and Medical Director of Cardiology at MCLNO. He has been Editor of the Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society since 2002.
