Jeffrey J. Joseph, MD, FACS, of New Orleans has created a number of his works specifically for charity purposes. In 2007, he created and donated an original oil painting titled Survivor to the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Residents Relief Fund, which was originally founded to assist LSU's ENT residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
One of his prints was also chosen for the cover of the Hospice of Acadiana cookbook, Angels in the Kitchen. Joseph also recently completed and donated a painting celebrating Lafayette General Medical Center's 100th anniversary.
His painting, Christmas Coming, which graces the cover of the latest issue of the Journal, is from 2008 and featured along with another holiday-themed piece, Window Shopping.
